At koocachoo we like to ensure that every client of ours has the best opportunity to have a highly professional service in a friendly and courteous atmosphere. For us to achieve this we would kindly ask all of our clientele to keep in mind the following etiquette tips.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

We understand that there are always occasions when life gets hectic and plans have to change. However, we are a busy salon and it is unfair on both our staff and other clients when a client cancels last minute or misses their appointment. We therefore have the below policies in place.

If less than 24 hours notice is given to cancel or reschedule your treatment we reserve the right to charge 50% of the treatment fee.

For no shows to appointments or last minute short notice cancellations on the day, we reserve the right to charge 100% of the treatment fee.

These charges will be applied to your account and charge to you at your next visit.

Please note, that if you cancel or miss an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, we have the right to request payment in part or full for any future appointments that you make in advance  at the time of booking.

This policy forms part of our terms and conditions that you agree to when using koocachoos services.

Deposits for Treatments

We require 50% deposit for larger bookings and for all new clients that book in for their first initial treatment with us where the treatment time is over 1hour.

Deposits can be made over the phone at the time of booking, or in person at the salon prior to the treatment date.

If you Cancel your appointment with more than 24 hours’ notice, deposits are refunded in full.

Any exceptions to the above are at the manager’s discretion.

Sun Bed Courses

We do not permit any of our sun bed courses to be shared between clients.

Sunbed courses are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Sunbed Missed Appointments (course clients)

Sun Bed Courses: If you miss your sun bed course appointment, your tanning course minutes will automatically be deducted from your account.

Sun Beds are for over 18’s only

If you are lucky enough to look under 25, ID will be required on your first visit.

There are no exceptions to this rule, so please come prepared otherwise we will have to turn you away.

We only accept the following forms of ID:

  • Provisional Driving Licence / Driving Licence
  • Passport

Online Bookings

You can cancel or change your booking online in My Booking History up to 24 hours in advance of your visit. If you fail to adhere to our 24-hour online booking cancellation policy, we have the right to charge you the balance of your booking amount left to pay in the salon by way of your online payment method.

Lateness

Please arrive early for your sun bed, beauty or hair treatment. Turning up late will shorten your treatment time if another client is booked in directly after you. For clients that turn up extremely late and were we are no longer able to carry out the treatment, we reserve the right to charge you the whole treatment fee.

Please bear in mind that if you are late, your treatment / sun bed will end on time so the next client isn’t delayed.

Beauty Clients under 16

We request that clients under 16 are accompanied by an adult, and Parents / Guardians sign their consultation forms.

Patch Tests

If your new to our salon, or not had a patch test required service with us a before then a patch tests will be required at least 48 hours prior to any Tinting, Eyelash Treatment or Hair Colour Service.

Under no circumstance will a client be allowed to have the treatment carried out without having a patch test. From time to time ingredients may change in the products which we use, and we may request clients to have another patch test.

Spray Tanning

Female Clients – We provide paper knickers for our female clients. We politely request that these or your own underwear are worn as an absolute minimum during your Spray Tan.

Male Clients – We politely request that you wear pants or shorts as an absolute minimum during your Spray Tan.

Male Clients

We are proud to provide male treatments. For us to do this we kindly ask that you read and adhere to the following rules;

  • Please be mindful of the questions you ask and conversations you engage in.

We appreciate your co-operation

Mobile Phones

We want you and our other clients to relax when having a treatment carried out. We therefor kindly ask you to have your mobile phone turned to silent or vibrate a when in the salon and on silent or off when in the treatment rooms.

Children

For the health and safety of all and the whole ambiance of the salon we regret to inform you that children cannot be left to sit in reception on their own whilst clients have a sun bed or treatment.

If you do bring any children with you to your appointment we kindly ask that you ensure any noise and / or disruption made by the children to either you and any of our other clients is kept to a minimum.

Please do not ask staff to keep an eye on your children as we will have to politely decline. Our staff cannot be responsible for your children whilst working in a busy salon.

Parking

Unfortunately, we do not have any dedicated parking, however there are two carparks either side of the salon and also some free parking spaces behind the salon too.

Both car parks are less than a 2 minute walk to our salon. We do advise clients to use these car parks during the day time.

This car park also offers limited spaces which has 2 hour’s free parking as well Pay and Display spaces.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are available to be used on all services and products and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Booking Fees

Occasionally at we may ask for a deposit on any of our services. For example for new clients, at peak times or for popular promotions.

We reserve the right to change policies whenever required and without prior notice.
